Anti-wrinkles injections
Crease lines and wrinkles are a natural process of ageing, caused by sun damage, gravity and muscle actions. Over time this can lead to the development of deep frown lines, forehead lines and crow’s feet (at the corners of the eyes). Injecting Botulinum Toxin into the affected area temporarily relaxes the underlying muscles responsible for wrinkles, giving the face a more relaxed and youthful appearance.
The anti-wrinkle treatment uses a dilute form of Botulinum Toxin Type A administered to specific points on the face. The aesthetic facial treatment gradually takes effect over a week to ten days and after 2-3 weeks it can be working fully. The effects of treatment lasts, on average, for three to four months but can last up to six months in some people.
Dermal fillers
Dermal filler gives volume to the skin to smooth out wrinkles and facial lines caused by ageing or sun exposure. Dermal fillers come in a variety of thicknesses to treat different concerns. Dermal fillers can be used in the nasolabial folds (lines running from the corner of the mouth to the outer edge of the nostril) or to eradicate lines from around the lips achieving a fresh and rejuvenated appearance.
Dermal filler contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that occurs in most living organisms and therefore is highly biocompatible. It restores volume to the skin and is the filler substance of choice due to its high safety record.
This facial aesthetic treatment is non-permanent and the effects can last from four to eight months with top-up treatments required to maintain the desired appearance.
Lip fillers
Lip fillers are a specific type of Dermal filler and are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to enhance the shape, volume and definition of the lips. Using hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, lip fillers can help achieve fuller lips, improve symmetry, restore lost volume and soften fine lines around the mouth. Results are immediate and designed to look natural, helping you to achieve balanced, hydrated and beautifully enhanced lips.
As with all facial aesthetics treatments that we offer, a thorough consultation is required to discuss treatment aims. With dermal and lip fillers, a surface numbing cream is used on the treatment area ahead of the filler being placed.
