How Our Invisalign Process Works

Consultation - to determine your teeth alignment aims and for us to assess your teeth. We will often take photographs, X-rays and a 3D scan of your teeth at this appointment.

A tailor made treatment plan is generated for you, including a computer simulation of the desired results. So you can see the proposed plan and an estimate of how long Invisalign treatment will take.

Invisalign treatment starts.

Regular reviews every 4 weeks until your treatment finishes.

Retainers provided for you to wear every night to ensure the teeth do not move after Invisalign treatment.

How much does Invisalign cost?
Treatment time varies depending on each person and their teeth. Most people complete Invisalign in under 12 months.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Invisalign can correct crooked or crowded teeth, gaps, and common bite issues such as overbite, underbite, crossbite and open bite. After an assessment with you, we will be able to advise if this treatment is suitable for you.
What can Invisalign fix?
Invisalign isn't painful. But, Invisalign may cause mild pressure when starting a new aligner. This sensation is a sign the teeth are moving. Invisalign are generally more comfortable than traditional braces.
Is Invisalign painful?
Aligners should be worn for 20-22 hours per day for the best results.
How often do I need to wear the aligners?
Invisible aligners should be removed when you are eating and drinking anything other than water.
Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?
There is a recommendation to wait for 30 minutes after eating or drinking (anything other than water) before putting your aligners back in. This is to allow your saliva to neutralise acids, protecting your teeth from decay.
What is the 30 minute rule for Invisalign?
Clean your aligners daily by gently brushing them with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water, avoiding toothpaste as it can be abrasive. For a deeper clean, soak them in Invisalign cleaning crystals or a denture-safe cleaner.
How do I clean my aligners?
Yes. A thorough check will be carried out prior to starting treatment. Aligners are designed to fit over existing dental work. Your dentist will assess the condition of the restorations to ensure Invisalign is safe and effective.
